She Reads. She Writes. Writers Workshop is for all women writers. This 4-hour in-person intensive will help take your next writing project from "just an idea" or a draft in your file folder to a product that you will be prepared to launch in 2018. We have a strong cadre of women authors, bloggers, fempreneurs, and business strategists ready to share their expertise and wisdom with you. Comparable workshops are valued at over $100. You only pay $60, plus a small processing fee! Space is limited. Register now!

Attendees who wish to sell existing literary products may do so for an additional fee of $25 (processing fee not included). There are only 10 vendor booths available, so act now! 

Workshop Details: 

Roundtable Discussions

The workshop will include roundtable discussions with our experts. Attendees will only be able to participate in one hour-long discussion. So, bring or make a friend or two, and divide and conquer. Table topics include the following:

  • Getting off the starting block: Developing a plan and setting goals 
  • Why others won't finish, but you will: Understanding the psychology of writing 
  • Specki errs alway in tha way: Controlling the quality of your writing
  • Never enough time: The fine art of balancing marriage, motherhood, and writing 
  • But, I'm not a writer: Using your authentic voice in your writing

Plenary Session (Full group)

Because it isn't just about your writing...Business strategist Tarin White of Launch & Grow Biz will be with us sharing her secrets to "Branding and launching your business." 

Tarin White is the founder of Launch & Grow Biz, where she teaches beginner female entrepreneurs how to package their "genius" so that they can launch and grow their business by taking their ideas from start to profit. As an online business strategist, Tarin has a passion for empowering women in business to create bigger and stronger brands.

Tarin has shared her expertise on national television shows such as The Rachael Ray Show, The Dr. Oz Show, and The Nate Berkus Show just to name a few. She has also been featured in countless major publications such as People Magazine, Essence, USA Today, and Black Enterprise. In addition, she has had the opportunity to write for nationally-recognized publications such as MSN, Ebony, MadameNoire, Essence and much more. 

"Lab" Time 

We will close the workshop with one hour of "lab" time, where you will start to turn your learning into a plan of action. Our experts will be on site to assist you. 

Additional Information:

We want to help you develop a supportive community. Attendees will have access to an exclusive Facebook community after the workshop.  The workshop host, Jilliam Joe, will moderate this group and direct members to additional resources.
